JOB TITLE: Facilities Specialist -- Part-Time (16 hrs/wk)

Performs a variety of interior and exterior maintenance duties in order to provide clean, orderly, and safe facilities and grounds for library users and staff members.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of practices, tools, equipment and materials used to maintain facilities and commercial landscaping; safety practices of facilities maintenance and groundskeeping work including use of cleaning agents and equipment. Ability to operate tools and equipment used in maintenance and groundskeeping work; develop working relationships with other employees and supervisor; follow oral and written instructions; identify maintenance needs; develop and prioritize projects; create written plans; instruct and oversee temporary laborers; perform heavy lifting and other duties requiring moderate physical strength. Travel periodically required to other library facilities in Baker County (agency vehicle provided); must hold and maintain excellent driving record and insurance.
Must have some experience in groundskeeping, cleaning, facilities maintenance, or related fields; completion of high school; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Two or more years of experience in facilities or grounds maintenance or equivalent. Additional language skills appreciated.
SCHEDULE / EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
16 hours per week; schedule to be determined.
COMPENSATION: Wage range $11.92--$14.49 per hour / DOE.
SECURITY: Criminal background check required if selected for position.
