| Description |
Baker City's second City Hall plus Fire Bell Tower. Notice that the bell and the wheel for ringing may be seen in the top of the tower. This postcard was produced by Baker City businessman Carl Adler. Baker City's second city hall was built in 1903. The first city hall was a two-story frame structure (see photo 1981.1.560). City council chambers in the older building were irreverently referred to as "the hay loft" due to the rather crude nature of the building. |
