Description	Rand Building. NW corner 1st and Washington. John L. Rand had his law office in this building before becoming an Oregon Supreme Court associate justice. Dr. Charles D. Houser, a surgeon, and Dr. Ernest L. Faus, an osteopath, had offices on the second floor. Dr. Houser was listed in the city directories from 1939-1950. His wife was listed as a widow in 1953. Dr. Faus was listed just a couple of years, thus the dating of the photo as around 1939. Behind the Rand Building is a mattress store. Sagamore Hotel can be seen at left edge of photo.
