Description Catholic Girls School.

When banker James W. Virtue and family left Baker City for Portland in 1891 , the Catholic Church acquired their home located on the south side of Church St. between Main and 1st streets. The church added a wing off the west side. The school was replaced in 1903 by St. Francis Academy. The wing was removed and the original Virtue house was moved several blocks west on Church St. For many years it was known as the Starlight Apartments. Since 2002 it has been a private residence again.
