| Description |
Damon, Fie C. Fire chief of Baker City. The 1905 city director lists Damon as a glazier at Bennett & Sons planing plant, with residence at 1773 Centre St. In 1905 Baker City's fire department was still manned by volunteers that were called to fires by the fire bell located near city hall. Damon's son, Hubert, would become fire chief in the 1940's.
