Director message, 7/13/2020

Limited Access reopening date tentatively set for Monday, 7/20/2020
Though the COVID-19 pandemic situation has crept into our territory, is improving in Union county but exploding in other nearby counties, Baker County Public Library is tentatively planning to reopen for Limited Access services beginning Monday, 7/20/20.
Rules under this phase include:
- Face covering required indoors (outdoor drive-up/curbside service available for those unable to wear mask)
- Building occupancy limited to 8
- Visitation time limited (timed session pass issued at front desk on entry)
- Children under age 12 must be accompanied by responsible caretaker
- Public restrooms closed
- Meeting Room closed
We are confident that we can use our heads with science-based understanding about how to safely defend against virus transmission, and our hearts to each do our part with knowledge that many of our library staff, visitors, and families are at great risk from this virus due to underlying conditions.
Thanks to all for your patience and support! We look forward to seeing you again. Our new books shelves are packed!
Perry Stokes, Library Director
Baker County Library District
