Friday Storytime at the Library
Make sure to mark your calendars for this one- we'll be doing an art filled storytime on Friday in February and March!

Maker's Club
Our in-person Maker's Club is back! Here we will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) while having a lot of fun!
Friday Maker's Club Meetings:
March 17 at 3:00- Hour of Code
March 31 at 3:00 (extra one to make up for February!)- Exploring Stop Motion
April 14 at 3:00- Exploring the impact our Carbon Footprint has on the Earth
May 12 at 3:00- Learning to make recycled paper

Oregon Battle of the Books
OBOB is a statewide reading competition designed to encourage and recognize students who enjoy reading. The list for 2022-2023 can be found here.
Practices for 3rd-5th grades are Thursdays at 4:00-4:30!
Spring Break!
We have quite a few Spring Break activities planned for March! We will still have a Storytime on Friday at 10:00. In addition, we will have two kid-friendly movies playing on Monday, March 27 at 10:00 and Thursday, March 30 at 10:00! We will also have an Art Free-for-All on Wednesday, March 29th at 10:00 and an extra Maker Club that week on Friday, March 31 at 3:00 where we'll be exploring stop motion!

Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a nonprofit that aims to provide "a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere." The site offers a growing library of high-quality educational videos that can help parents brush up on school subjects or guide their child through homework with evidence and visual aids, which are big concepts in the Common Core. Whether you're looking for a crash course in world history or biology, or even just basic math concepts, there are nicely paced videos on almost every topic. There are even videos to help kids learn computer programming or prepare for the SAT.
Crash Course
The Crash Course team has produced more than 15 courses to date, and these videos accompany high school and college level classes ranging from the humanities to the sciences. Crash Course transforms the traditional textbook model by presenting information in a fast-paced format, enhancing the learning experience.
