S.T.E.M. Storytime

Our next Friday Storytime will be October 7th at 10:00!  Make sure to mark your calendars for this one- we'll be doing S.T.E.M. focused Storytimes!  This is ideally suited for kids in preschool through 2nd grade.

Maker's Club

Join us Friday, September 16 at 3:00 for a return to our in-person Maker's Club!  Here we will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) while having a lot of fun!

Oregon Battle of the Books

is coming soon!  OBOB is a statewide reading competition designed to encourage and recognize students who enjoy reading. The list for 2022-2023 can be found here.  Sign-ups will be available in the library and online September 19!

NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program

National Novel Writing Month is an annual writing project that takes place during the month of November by people all across the world.  Some try to write a novel during that time, some work on a story, whatever the goal, writing gets done!  We start in October to prepare and plan our writing. This is for kids in grades 3-12.

Khan Academy is a nonprofit that aims to provide "a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere." The site offers a growing library of high-quality educational videos that can help parents brush up on school subjects or guide their child through homework with evidence and visual aids, which are big concepts in the Common Core. Whether you're looking for a crash course in world history or biology, or even just basic math concepts, there are nicely paced videos on almost every topic. There are even videos to help kids learn computer programming or prepare for the SAT.

Crash Course

The Crash Course team has produced more than 15 courses to date, and these videos accompany high school and college level classes ranging from the humanities to the sciences. Crash Course transforms the traditional textbook model by presenting information in a fast-paced format, enhancing the learning experience.
