FY21-22 NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Baker County Library District, Baker County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 will be held both in person and shared online via web conference.

In-person attendance is reserved for Budget Committee members and authorized library personnel due to limited capacity under COVID-19 health measures. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 26 2021 at 5:00 pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may join the virtual meeting to ask questions or comment on the proposed budget programs to the Budget Committee. Written communication may be submitted by email to info@bakerlib.org or regular mail to 2400 Resort St, Baker City, OR 97814.

 If a continuance is necessary, a 2nd meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 27 2021 at 5:00 pm. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 19, 2021 by downloading from the library's website budget page

 The Library District Budget Committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending changes to the annual budget presented to them by Library Director/Budget Officer. They typically meet in mid and, if necessary, late-May. The Committee's approved budget is then forwarded to the Board of Directors for final approval in June.

 

The Budget Committee is composed of the Board of Directors and an equal number of citizens at large. The 2021-22 Budget Committee is as follows:

  • Linda Collier (term ends: 2021)
  • Joy Leamaster (term ends: 2023)
  • Bob Savage (term ends: 2022)
  • Anne Mehaffy (term ends: 2023)
