CLOSED - STAFF TRAINING DAY

Closure for Annual Staff Training on Thursday, August 21

All six branches of Baker County Library District will be closed on Thursday, August 21, for an annual staff training event. This closure is part of the library's commitment to enhancing the quality of service offered to the community and ensuring that patrons receive the best possible experience. This training will empower staff to better assist visitors by providing updates on the latest industry trends, best practices, and innovative technologies.

BCLD libraries closed for staff training on Thursday, August 21.

“We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience with this special closure. Our annual staff training day gives us a chance to step back from the daily rush and focus on learning, collaboration, and innovation,” said Perry Stokes, Library Director at Baker County Library District. “By investing in our team’s professional growth, we strengthen our ability to provide exceptional service, adapt to emerging challenges, and create a welcoming, dynamic library experience for everyone in our community.”

During the closure, patrons are encouraged to explore the library's digital resources, including the Hoopla Digital service offering streaming and download of music, movies, comics and more, and the Libby app with access to thousands of ebooks, e-audiobooks, and magazines.

Baker County Libraries will resume regular operating hours on Friday, August 22, with staff members ready to provide their newly refined expertise to serve the community effectively.
