Holiday Closure - Indigenous Peoples' Day / Columbus Day

Library closed October 13 2025 for Indigenous Peoples Day, also known as Columbus Day. Decorative blue, brown, yellow design.

Baker County libraries will be closed on Monday, Oct 13 for the Indigenous People's Day holiday (Oregon), AKA Columbus Day (federal).

#IndigenousPeoplesDay is a reminder that every day is a good opportunity to experience and honor the stories, art, language, and culture of Indigenous people.

Baker County Library District strives to honor the original people of Northeastern Oregon, the Americas, and Pacific and Atlantic islands by helping to preserve and share the voices, history and culture of the area tribes including the Cayuse, Umatilla, Walla Walla, Nimi’ipuu (Nez Perce), Numu (Northern Paiute) and other native peoples through our collections and programs. We respect the enduring deep and sacred tribal connections to this land, water, and community of #AllOurRelations.
