Beth Bigelow

Beth Bigelow has lived in Baker County since 1998 and is a native of Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University, a Masters degree in Education from Central Connecticut State University, and an Administrative degree from Lewis and Clark College. Beth spent the first 6 years of her educational career as a teacher in Connecticut and 36 years as a teacher and school administrator in the Baker School District.
Beth and her husband live on a ranch in Haines and are the proud parents of three grown children, all graduates of Baker High School. Now retired, Beth enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren, gardening, painting, winter sports, church activities, reading and participation in book clubs.
Beth deeply values literacy and lifelong learning, believing that strong literacy skills are foundational to opportunity, confidence, and community connection. She volunteers at local elementary schools, serves as a board member of the Baker County Community Literacy Coalition and the Baker County Library Foundation. Beth is proud of the wonderful services provided by the Baker County library.
