Jacque Cobb is a public health nurse and will be graduating as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May of 2026. She lives and works in Baker County. Her professional background includes communicable disease prevention, immunization outreach, and community health education in rural and underserved settings. She also co-owns J&J Timber, a locally operated forestry and milling business that focuses on responsible land stewardship.

Jacque’s interests align closely with the mission of public libraries, particularly in health literacy, lifelong learning, and equitable access to information. She is especially interested in how libraries can serve as welcoming community hubs that support education, digital access, and intergenerational learning. She is most passionate about the library in Haines, which is the one she lives closest to.

Born and raised outside of Haines, Jacque enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and community-based projects. She believes that libraries are the gateway to a larger world of opportunity, knowledge, and connection for people of all ages and backgrounds.
