Joan Spriggs

Joan Spriggs spent her childhood in agricultural Northern California. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources from Utah State University, she relocated to Idaho’s Treasure Valley, where she worked with the Forest Service as a contract writer and editor. In 2004, Joan joined the Eagle Public Library, where she retired at the end of 2016.
In 2017, Joan and her husband moved to Halfway in Baker County, where their daughter and son-in-law reside. They were drawn to the peaceful setting, nestled among beautiful mountains, perfect for hiking throughout the year.
Joan has always had a special love for libraries. Beyond her board role, she volunteers at the Halfway Branch Library, helping with the Friends of the Library’s book sale and tending to the beautiful library garden.
